How to Upgrade Your Bathroom — No Renovations Required

by Arlene A. Murray

Sometimes, you want to upgrade a space, but you don’t want to go through the process and expense of doing a full renovation.

The good news? There are plenty of ways to change a room without renovating it, and that includes your bathroom.

recent article from realtor.com outlined ways to upgrade your bathroom without actually remodeling, including:

  • Add a bidet attachment. If you want to upgrade your bathroom’s toilet experience, you can’t go wrong with a bidet. And there’s no need to tear out and replace your toilet; you can add a bidet attachment to your current toilet setup for about $100.
  • Swap out your light fixtures. Changing the light fixtures in your bathroom can totally change the look and feel of a room, and can deliver maximum impact on a relatively affordable budget. Swap out your traditional fixtures for something sleek and modern, or vice versa, depending on the look you’re going for.
  • Install a stick-on backsplash. Changing out the backsplash in your bathroom can be a pretty significant renovation, complete with tearing out the old tiles and installing new ones. But you can get the look of changing your tile without actually renovating — just use stick-ons, which can be easily applied, and just as easily removed.
